Barry Jenkins’ Mufasa: The Lion King crosses $100M domestically, 17th Black Director to do so
Over the holiday weekend, Disney’’s Mufasa: The Lion King crossed over the $100M mark domestically at the box office, with $113M in total after two weeks in release. That makes its director Barry Jenkins the 17th Black Filmmaker to achieve that mark.
Since its release on Dec. 20, Mufasa: The Lion King has taken in $327M globally thus far.
