Gail Bean to Star in West Coast production of Douglas Lyons' Table 17 with Biko Eisen-Martin and Michael Rishawn reprising their roles

Playbill has announced that making its West Coast premiere this Fall will be Douglas LyonsTable 17, coming to the Geffen's Gil Cates Theater November 5-December 7 after making its premiere Off-Broadway at MCC Theater last year.

The new run is a transfer from MCC, with Zhailon Levingston returning to direct and Biko Eisen-Martin and Michael Rishawn reprising their performances, to be newly joined by Gail Bean

The work follows a once-engaged couple who meet for dinner and revisit old wounds.

"If your ex wanted to meet up again, would you? Previously engaged, Jada and Dallas reunite for dinner to hash out the good, the bad, and the ugly from their romantic past. Despite the intrusion of sassy waiters, complicated memories, and their best efforts to keep things casual, the estranged couple find themselves cornered by the truth."

Geffen's run is being produced in association with Jeffrey Richards and Mark Cortale.

For Bean, she's been booked and busy throughout this year so far. She recently had a recurring role in the third and last season of Prime Video's Harlem, starred in the indie film Both Eyes Open, and is set to star in the untitled Snowfall spinoff series; where  she and Isaiah John will reprise the roles of Wanda and Leon Simmons, respectively. Last year, she appeared in the ensemble cast of The Piano Lesson film, which Malcolm Washington directed.
