Basir leads the ALLBLK series “LACE,” as Lacey McCullough, a prolific Los Angeles attorney who is willing to do anything for her clients. As a multi-dimensional and enigmatic character, she blurs the lines between right and wrong. It is often unknown whether Lacey is a “good guy” or a “bad guy” as she fights to get the best possible outcome for her clients.

After the explosive events of last season, the incomparable Lacey McCullough’s (Maryam Basir) world has been thrown into a downward spiral. This season, Lacey’s enemies are finally closing in, culminated by a large-scale FBI investigation, leaving the future of Lacey and McCullough & Associates hanging in the balance.

Lacey’s right-hand man and loyal confidante has departed the firm for good...disappearing without a trace. And, after exhausting all appeals, Lacey’s determined to get her mother out of prison. But, with the firm in flux, she will need to figure out who she can and cannot trust all whilst her personal relationship is crumbling, and she is in danger of losing custody of her daughter. Though this prolific lawyer is renowned for getting things done…by any means necessary for her rich and powerful clientele, will she be able to work her magic when it’s her own life on the line?

Maryam’s recent credits include "FBI International," “The Chi,” “Chicago PD,” “Empire,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and “Holiday Heartbreak,” in which she won ‘Best Actress in an Independent Film’ for the HAPA Awards. Currently, she stars in “To Live and Die and Live” which premiered at Sundance 2023, opposite Omari Hardwick.

In addition to her acting career, Maryam is an entrepreneur. Just this summer she launched MARYAM BEAUTY, a new brand of innovative cosmetics. With a passion for beauty and a focus on enhancing eyebrows, Maryam's line offers high-quality products for individuals to express their unique style and boost their confidence. She continues to inspire others with her diverse talents and commitment to making a positive impact.
