Exclusive: Lex Scott Davis on playing an Entertainment lawyer on Suits: LA
Currently airing on NBC is Suits: LA, a new extension of the Suits universe from Aaron Korsh, creator and writer of the original series. The series stars Stephen Amell, Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt and Bryan Greenberg.
Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while we slowly unravel the events that years ago led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.
Davis plays Erica Rollins. A savvy and strong-willed rising star, Erica works for Ted Black (Amell). She’s shrewd enough to test the loyalty of her associates only to admire some of them for not having any.
Davis was last seen in the Amazon feature Ricky Stanicky, alongside John Cena and Zac Efron. Lex had a breakout role playing singer Toni Braxton in the Lifetime television movie Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart.
She also starred in Universal’s The First Purge, the prequel feature for the Purge franchise, appeared in Netflix’s Florida Man, opposite Edgar Ramirez, and A Lot of Nothing directed by Mo McRae. On television, she co-starred in ABC’s Rebel opposite Katey Sagal and Andy Garcia.
