The world has changed. The only habitable place left for humanity is in the high mountains, above 8000 feet. Below 8000 feet dwell the creatures that killed 95% of the human population less than three years ago. To save the life of his young son, a father (Anthony Mackie) is forced to venture below “The Line” with a scientist (Morena Baccarin) he despises, but who just might hold the key to defeating the monsters, and a young woman (Maddie Hasson) determined to keep them both alive long enough to save the human race.

Written by John Glenn, Jacob Roman, and Kenny Ryan, the film was produced by Brad Fuller, p.g.a. John Glenn, George Nolfi, p.g.a., Joel Viertel, Jeremy Kipp Walker, Natalie Sellers, Alex Black, and Anthony Mackie. The executive producing team includes Carl Beyer, Alex Ginno, Morena Baccarin, Michael Bowman, Jason Spire, John Rosenberg, Matthew Sidari, Eric Gold, Warren Goz, Samuel Hall, and Michael Rothstein.

Mackie is set to play Captain America in Captain America: Brave New World, the fourth installment of the Marvel franchise. He will come back for a second season on the Twisted Metal TV series for Peacock, which he also serves as an executive producer.

Baccarin recently reprised her role as Vanessa Carlysle in Deadpool & Wolverine. She co-starred with Pierce Brosnan in Fast Charlie, a Phillip Noyce thriller. She had a guest role on CBS’ Fire Country, which could potentially lead to a spinoff series starring her.

Hasson was most recently seen in Taurus co-starring with Machine Gun Kelly, Scoot McNairy, and Megan Fox. She also appeared in James Wan’s Malignant as well as in the Netflix series The Recruit.

For Nolfi, he reunites with Mackie for the third time after directing him in The Adjustment Bureau (with Matt Damon & Emily Blount) and The Banker (with Samuel L. Jackson). He also directed Birth of the Dragon, the "Allegiance" series; and he also wrote scripts for Ocean's Twelve, The Sentinel, The Bourne Ultimate, and Spectral
